CHIBI MANGA

In the magical world of manga, there is a particular style called chibi in Japan. Chibi translates to “runts” in English. Do not let this term fool you; chibis are far cuter than their name suggests.

A chibi, or mini-manga, is the young, baby-like version a manga character. They’re characterized by the stylization of their anatomy; the head is as big as the body, and the limbs are barely developed. A chibi has large eyes and assumes expressive postures, sometimes exaggerated, because it’s meant to demonstrate what the character is really thinking and feeling. It can, for example, express its internalized anger, which manifests in wicked actions. In this second part, you will find some heroes from the previous section in their chibi versions, but also some new characters.
